The Bernal Scream Returns to the Bay Area in 2023

The Haunt is Back after Seven Years with Lucifer's Wrath

First Responders Night Planned

The Bernal Scream will return to California's Bay Area after a 7-year absence, according to the haunt's website.

The San Jose haunt's attraction will be called Lucifer's Wrath and will run Sept. 29-Oct. 31, 2023.

"The Bernal Scream will reclaim its place as one of the Bay Area's scariest commercial haunted attractions," a post on the haunt's Facebook page states.

The haunt is planning a First Responders Night on Oct. 5, in which first responders will be given a $5 discount off the cost of their tickets.

Ticket prices haven't yet been announced, but options will include general admission, a "hold your own" option, and a VIP/Fast Pass option.

The "hold your own" option allows guests to go through the attraction alone or with only those they came with, so they don't have to mix with strangers, according to the website. All guests in the group must have the "hold your own" ticket.

The VIP/Fast Pass option is "the trick of all treats," the haunt's website states. Guests will be put in a separate VIP/Fast Pass line, be given the "hold your own" option, and receive a 2023 Scream lanyard and VIP hard ticket stub, according to the website. The website states additional perks will be added to the VIP/Fast Pass ticket as it gets closer to opening night.
